It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

It's finally here... stock show season! It feels like it was just yesterday that I was attending the Hansford County Stock Show for the very first time with my crazy heifer, Rainbow... and then I blinked and ten years flew by! Now I am showing my last steer, Turbo. About three years into showing I decided to name my steers all card names so, when my senior year came along I could say, "I've played all the right cards." Well, looking back on all the success and great times I have had with showing I am quick to say that I have indeed "played all the right cards!" Since I am a senior in high school, January 26 will be the last time I show at the county stock show! I cannot believe my showing career is almost over. There is one thing that everyone reading my blog needs to know.. I absolutely love showing steers! It is a true passion of mine! Not only has it opened up the door of opportunity, but I have also made many life long friends throughout my showing career. It is inevitable that I will be sad when this chapter in my life is done, but I am looking forward to the new adventure in front of me!
